Lee Residence Remodel, Portland, OR

The Bridgetown project involved the addition and renovation of an existing circa 1930's former wharehouse building. The building was currently used as a storage facility and had been in neglect for several decades.

The design challenge was to renovate the building to meet current tenant requirements; structural and seismic upgrades and conformity to strict historic preservationist guidelines. The solution came in the form of a modern addition that not only increased the leasable area, but also acted as a structural brace for the entire structure. A penthouse level with a clear story light well was created to allow more natural light into the building.
